Romain Laprade is a 35-year-old French photographer. After his studies, he initially worked at Vogue Paris magazine as a graphic designer and later at Holiday magazine, but his passion for photography, which has driven him since the age of 15, eventually led him to make it his profession.
Romain Laprade's photographs have, in a few years, become a subtle and intriguing visual signature. His style stands out by focusing on mundane details that he transforms into iconic images.
His warm tones, sense of composition, and sunny work also interest brands constantly seeking novelty and help him gain recognition through various publications (Aesop, Rimowa, Mr Porter, Hermès, Isabel Marant, ...).
Romain Laprade freezes lines and surfaces through an aesthetic and photographic vocabulary that is his own, often drawn from modernist architecture. In many photographs accumulated over the past 5 years, mundane details and minimalist compositions with striking lights are capable of offering an exquisite and poetic perspective on the world.
